Whoops, Emerald Nuts with Robert Goulet might be even better maybe—weird & funny. CHRIS WALL: Here’s a description off of SI dot com: “Among returning advertisers, Diamond Foods Inc.’s Emerald Nuts brand came up with new ads after innovative spots last year that turned the company’s name into an acrostic-like word puzzle.” I mean, I just can’t imagine the creative guys sitting around and one goes, “I’ve got it! The way to make almonds jump off the shelves is with an acrostic-like word puzzle!” It’s like, “Jerry Seinfeld will be telling a brief, ribald parable that involves two men of different faiths who enter a tavern and when prompted by the barkeep, poke fun at the city of Cleveland.” You’ll never top Robert Goulet for ESPN. Random funniness works best in small, quick doses. This spot would have been a HELL of a lof funnier if it was a :15.

Loved it. The Ad Wrestler & Robert Goulet could take the tag team title any day, even if there were chuck Norris twins as opposition. This may be my favorite of the day. This was like an SNL skit that reminded me that good snacks keep my energy levels right. The best part is, it was entertaining with or without volume. Quite a welcome thing when your Abuela starts singing Prince songs during the commercial breaks...

Loved this commercial! Caught my eye, made me laugh, made the product obvious, and caused me to buy a bag of Emerald nuts today! Each bite I eat makes me chuckle at the surreal silliness of the ad and makes me want to buy another bag to keep me laughing. I also checked out their web-site and I looked at the financials on Diamond as a potential investment. All 'cause the company that has me imagining Bob creating havoc in my office peaks my curiosity and tickles my funny bone. Have found this ad wasn't an option on any of the lists I found asking that I vote for my favorite ad. That makes me wonder how accurate reports of favorite ads really are.
